EAEA Members attend 89th National Ploughing Championship, in Ireland

The Uganda Embassy in Ireland in partnership with The East Africa Entrepreneurs Association (EAEA) and the Irish Embassy in Kampala have organized this outward trade mission to enable Ugandan Entrepreneurs learn best practices in agricultural production, value addition, productivity, market access, logistics and Risk management through technology, innovation, joint ventures and knowledge sharing.

National ploughing championships in the world will take place on the 15th-17th September 2020 at Screggan, Tullamore, County Co. Ireland.  The exhibitors will vary from the most modern agri-equipment, Agribusiness, Marketing, Logistics, ICT, Research and development.

The agricultural sector is the backbone of our economy and employs about 75% of Uganda’s population which contributes about 30% of the GDP and about 48% of export earnings and thus the need to empower our Agricultural entrepreneurs with best practices within the value chain so as to harness the full potential in this sector.

East Africa Entrepreneurs Association is focused on promoting the development of Micro, medium and small scale enterprises (SME) to become the main vehicle for expanding production, providing sustainable jobs, improving household incomes and enhancing economic growth and development
