Congratulations to the top 7 most promising startups in Uganda for this remarkable achievement! Being among the best is a significant milestone, and we are thrilled to embark on the next phase of this journey with you.
Today marks the beginning of our coaching journey. Each startup will benefit from at least eight coaching sessions, starting on June 11 and concluding on September 18, 2024. To ensure a smooth kickoff, we held a Coaching Session Familiarization Meeting today, June 7, 2024, at the EAEA boardroom, at 11:00 a.m. This meeting was crucial as it provided essential information and guidelines about the coaching sessions.
This initiative is part of the Startup10 program, which promotes food security and youth employment in ten Italian cooperation partner countries. The startups were identified as standout candidates for Uganda. Organized by CIHEAM Bari, Italy, in partnership with the East Africa Entrepreneurs Association (EAEA), the program focuses on developing local startups in the green and blue economy sectors, emphasizing digitization processes.
As successful candidates, they will benefit from a comprehensive support course, including personalized coaching to refine their business model, enhance their strategic approach, and prepare for them next big opportunity. At the end of the coaching program, they will have the chance to pitch their project to a jury of national and international experts.
One outstanding startup will be awarded a prize of €5,000.00 in support tools, training, coaching, services, and equipment tailored to the winner’s needs. Additionally, the winning startup will engage in an Open Innovation program with an Italian company, providing further growth and collaboration opportunities.
