Advocating for the rights of Entrepreneurs at all relevant national, regional & international fora, this includes but not limited to: Government Ministries, departments and Authorities, Non-governmental organizations, Councils and Municipalities, and any other relevant local, regional and international fora.
In order to effectively advocate for the rights of Entrepreneurs, EAEA carries out the following Activities;
- Collecting and analyzing data on issues affecting entrepreneurs to inform lobbying and advocacy.
- Analyzing draft policies, bills and regulations to ensure that the interests of entrepreneurs are taken into consideration.
- Adequate representation of the entrepreneurs at different national, regional and international policy platforms.
- Constant consultation, sensitization and feedback to the entrepreneurs on business and trade policy related issues.
- Continually engage in policy dialogue at national, regional and international levels, to enable EAEA contribute positively to decisions and policy debates for effective representation of the EAEA membership.
- Benchmarking policies in the world to harmonize the regional trade.
- Forging strategic alliances, locally, regionally, and internationally with major business advocacy groups to broaden platforms for representation and advocacy
- Solving business disputes amongst entrepreneurs and/or Government and playing a mediatory role for the good of the business community.
What has been done so far ? The following are some of the few interventions by EAEA in Advocating for the rights of Entrepreneurs;

- EAEA represents the private sector on the development of a Regional Innovation-Led Bioeconomy Strategy for Eastern Africa (BiSEA)

- The EAC regional policy for science technology and innovation and Intellectual Property (IP), September 2018
- Arbitration of Business Disputes; Signed an MOU to set up an arbitration center to solve business disputes amongst entrepreneurs and/or Government and playing a mediatory role for the good of the business community
- Sessions of Uganda -DRC meetings
- EAEA has written our 50 policy papers and articles
- Forging strategic alliances, locally, regionally, and internationally with major business advocacy groups to broaden platforms for representation and advocacy : MTIC MOUs, MAAIF
