The Italian Cultural and Culinary Week in Uganda (19 – 24 November 2018)

The Embassy of Italy organized the Italian Cultural and Culinary week under the high patronage of the President of the Italian Republic in Uganda from 19 to 24 November 2018.

The week was launched with a Gala Dinner at Sheraton Kampala Hotel on November 19, 2018. As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), East Africa Entrepreneurs Association (EAEA) purchased a table for ten members in support of Project Able, Italian embassy’s initiative for the prevention and treatment of Burkitt’s lymphoma (childhood cancer) in Uganda). EAEA also purchased 34 raffle tickets for its members to participate in the Raffle in support of Project Able.

Chef Fabio Bongianni, a professional Italian chef was the guest of honor for Italian Cultural and Culinary Week 2018. On Friday 23rd November 2018, the Ambassador of Italy, H.E Domenico Fornara, hosted a Dinner Buffet at his residence in Kampala and participants where served with dishes prepared by Chef Fabio Bongianni in collaboration with the Italian Restaurant in Kampala LINOVE.  The participants where entertained by live Italian music and latter raffle tickets were drawn from the lottery.
