Training and Strengthening Of Entrepreneurial Capabilities for Sustainable Innovation in “Green” And “Blue” Economy Sectors In the Mediterranean and Africa Region

Dear Member,

East Africa Entrepreneurs Association (EAEA) is collaborating with CIHEAM Bari, Italy to implement a project entitled “STARTUP10 Project” which is ensured to promote food security and youth employment in 10 partner countries of Italian cooperation (Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan, Lebanon, Kenya Uganda, Ethiopia, Albania, Bosnia,). The project aim to strengthen business incubators to foster the development of local startups active in the green and blue economy sectors with a focus on digitalization.

The first activity foreseen is an international training course for managers of local incubators.

 It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in the kick-off meeting and into the training course on “International Incubator Manager” organized in the framework of the STARTUP10 Project, which is scheduled to take place from 23 – 30 November 2023 at CIHEAM Bari, Italy / Online.

The training aims to strengthen the capacities of incubator managers both on the management of the incubator to ensure its economic and financial sustainability and on services in support of young people and startups. Besides the participation in presence of 22 managers, the participation of additional incubators’ managers or personnel with responsible roles in the organizations in the different countries is encouraged and will be ensured with Zoom connection.

Four thematic sessions will be developed.

Theme 1: The financial sustainability of the incubators

How to assure a progressive improvement and diversification of the flows of income of in incubator to consolidate a supply of services to the entrepreneurship that are becoming more and more complex and repetitive.

How you can improve the design of services, make them more competitive, more suitable for entrepreneurs, and how to ensure quality and differentiation.

 Theme 3: Cooperation with companies. Comparison of experiences

How to contribute to the innovation processes of companies to increase their competitiveness.

How to support collaboration among enterprises and startup. The role of design thinking and open innovation. The opportunities of Venture Clienting.
