A Delegation of EAEA Members involved in Agribusiness are heading to Bologna Fiera, Italy for EIMA International Event scheduled to take place from the 7th – 11th November 2018
EAEA in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Uganda through the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) have organized this outward trade mission to enable Ugandan Agriculture Entrepreneurs learn best practices in Agricultural production, Value addition, enhanced Productivity, Market Access through application of innovation, climate smart agriculture, joint ventures, knowledge sharing, Information, Communication & technology (ICT).
The focus of this show is promotion of commercial agricultural machinery, agri-business, digital agriculture, Processing and Packaging. The Expo will offer a varied spectrum of information, entertainment and share experiences for 5 days to over 1,900 exhibi tors and 250,000 visitors.
The Agricultural sector is the backbone of the our economy, employs about 75 per cent of Uganda’s population which contributes about 30 per cent of the GDP and about 48 per cent of export earnings and thus we need to empower our Agricultural entrepreneurs with best practices within the value chain so as to harness the full potential in this sector.
The East Africa Entrepreneurs Association (EAEA) is focused on promoting the development of Medium, Small and Micro Scale Enterprises (SMEs) to become the main vehicle for expanding production, providing sustainable jobs, improving household incomes and enhancing economic growth and development.
