  2024 ]
DESCRIPTION:We very pleased to announce that CIHEAM launched the 2024 editi
 on of the Youth Innovation Award to reward innovative solutions\, designe
 d and implemented by young people\, to accelerate green and blue transitio
 n processes towards more sustainable\, inclusive and equitable food system
 s in the Mediterranean (SFS Med).\n\nThe “CIHEAM Youth Innovation Award 
 for Green and Blue Transition in the Mediterranean” will reward an innov
 ative solution (scientific or entrepreneurial product/service) at least in
  the pilot phase\, developed by a Mediterranean young woman or man aged un
 der 39 years and implemented in a country of the region. The innovation mu
 st demonstrate its ability to contribute to the environmental\, social and
  economic sustainability of Mediterranean food systems.\n\nThe selected aw
 ardee will receive a financial grant of 10.000 €\, a CIHEAM medal and a 
 Certificate. Other recognitions will also be awarded in the form of a one
 -year scholarship for a master’s degree in open innovation and youth en
 trepreneurship at CIHEAM Bari\; and in the form of an internship in one 
 of the partner companies.\n\nThe Award ceremony will take place on the occ
 asion of a CIHEAM special session held during the ECOMONDO – The Green 
 Technology Expo\, one of the most important fairs in the world dedicated t
 o green and circular economy hosted in Rimini\, Italy\, on 5-8 November\, 
 2024.\n\nEcomondo is the key event for green and circular economy. It’s 
 the meeting place where industrial groups\, stakeholders\, policy makers\,
  opinion leaders\, local authorities\, research bodies and institutions co
 me together and put in place the key elements that define the strategies f
 or the development of EU environmental policy.\n\nFor 2024\, the current e
 xhibition sectors – from bioenergy to waste circularity\, from the i
 ntegrated water cycle to environmental monitoring and the bioeconomy 
 – will be expanded to include vertical topics such as textiles\, the b
 lue economy\, the paper and cardboard industry\, and green and sustaina
